3 Easy Steps to Volunteer

Warehouse volunteer

Bag, sort and stock food for guests.

Front Desk

Register guests at the front desk. Customer service and computer skills required.

gleaner

Pick up food from stores or residential gardens using your pickup truck and deliver it to the Food Closet.

team leader

Take responsibility for leading a small group of volunteers in daily warehouse operations.

committee member

Serve on a committee to achieve goals of collecting food and raising money.

admin/computer

Perform office tasks, and/or assist with computer needs, which may include word processing, data entry, graphic design, Excel spreadsheets, or QuickBooks.

board member

Use your talents and skills to provide oversight to the Food Closet.

Complete Auburn Interfaith Food Closet Initial Volunteer Training

This training is required of all new AIFC volunteers prior to placement.  The training may be completed on your computer (not your mobile) or by coming into the Food Closet.  Once the training is completed and received by the AIFC Volunteer Coordinator, you will be contacted about potential placement.
