Volunteers provide 100% of the hours needed to achieve the mission of the Auburn Interfaith Food Closet.
To volunteer for Auburn Interfaith Food Closet:
1. Review the Volunteer Opportunities below. There is something for everyone.
Bag, sort and stock food for clients.
Register clients at the front desk. Customer service and computer skills required.
Pick up food from stores or residential gardens using your pickup truck and deliver it to the Food Closet.
Take responsibility for leading a small group of volunteers in daily warehouse operations.
Serve on a committee to achieve goals of collecting food and raising money.
Perform office tasks, and/or assist with computer needs, which may include word processing, data entry, graphic design, Excel spreadsheets, or QuickBooks.
2. Fill out the Volunteer Application

3. Auburn Interfaith Food Closet Mandatory Training for Volunteers
a) You will be contacted by our Volunteer Coordinator to invite you to complete the initial Auburn Interfaith Food Closet Volunteer Training online.
The training may be completed on a computer (not your mobile) or by coming into the Food Closet.
b) Once the training is completed and received by the Volunteer Coordinator, you will be contacted about potential placement.
